Linda and Dallas

I wanted to kick off the 2012 blogging year with a bang and when I thought about all the weddings we had photographed from last year and which one stood out the most, it had to be the wedding of Linda and Dallas.

Their day was everything both Alex and I love about weddings; it was full of family – actually the houses were busting at the seams with family – filled with love and most importantly, laughs. Linda and Dallas have such infectious energy that makes them so much fun to be around.

The wedding was a blend of cultures starting with a Vietnamese tea ceremony at Linda’s family home, then followed by a Chinese tea ceremony and a luncheon at Dallas’ family home.  Linda then changed to western wedding attire for the ceremony at QUT Gardens Point where the couple first met.

There are so many magical moments that made up there day from each of them trying to speak the others’ language, to the heartfelt speeches, to the good natured ribbing of the groomsmen and bridesmaids who obviously cared about Linda and Dallas immensley, however nothing tops a Thriller dance routine.

Thank you Linda and Dallas for having us as a part of your amazing day and we wish you all the best and a long and happy future together.

Looks like a really fun wedding Alicia! I can see some hijinks going on right throughout the day! Great photos! The guys were busting some pretty fancy dance moves at the end!

Hayley and Derek are right. This wedding looks like it was filled with people quick to laugh. That kind of joy is so much fun. Great job capturing it. I especially loved the set of the couple putting on the groom’s ring. What a great reaction!

Heartfelt Support – Help Us Raise Money for a Worthy Cause

Have you heard of Heartfelt?

No? You’re not alone. They are a relatively new group who are giving a very precious gift to families around Australia…

(taken from heartfelt.org.au) ~ Heartfelt is a volunteer organisation of professional photographers from all over Australia dedicated to giving the gift of photographic memories to families that have experienced stillbirths, premature and ill infants and children in the Neonatal Intensive Care Units of their local hospitals, as well as children with serious and terminal illnesses.

Heartfelt is dedicated to providing this gift to families in a caring, compassionate manner.

The images these photographers capture are breathtaking and beautiful and a gift to a family to look back on over the years to remember their little ones with love and dignity.

Alex and I aren’t Heartfelt photographers (yet), however after seeing relatives, close friends and even clients face the loss of little ones, we believe very strongly in the work this amazing organisation does and would love to help increase public awareness of the group and help raise money for them.

As such, we decided to dedicate our previously advertised mini-sessions to raising money for Heartfelt with every single dollar from the session fee going directly to Heartfelt

Heartfelt, mini session, charity, Australia, worthy cause, photography, Brisbane, family, portrait

These sessions are a great way to capture the changes in your little ones as they grow so fast or it’s a wonderful way to update if you haven’t had portraits taken for a while. Maybe have your teens photographed just before they are filled with angst or perhaps grab your partner and make it a quick couple shoot so you have some high quality professional photos of yourselves together. If you absolutely love your images and wish to purchase more than what’s included in the package, that option is open to you with discounted rates available.

Due to the nature of mini-sessions, each session is limited to a family group of no more than five people. If you wish to include more people on a shoot extra ‘per person fees’ apply. If you would like to know more about the sessions or book in, please call us on 3891 1400. The mini sessions are strictly limited

Please support us in supporting Heartfelt and raising public awareness by sharing this post on your facebook.
