Last weekend I was looking for something to do with my eleven year old son, Ashley, and my ten year old son, Casey. They were driving me a little bit batty and I really needed to get them out of the house. We went and saw, ‘Despicable Me’ at the movies in the morning (which I highly recommend), went for a swim at Southbank then decided to go and take some photos of the Annual Zombie Walk.
The zombie walk is held to raise money for the Brain Foundation of Australia. It started off a few years ago with a small number of people and the popularity has swelled to well over 2000 participants each year. The time and effort that goes into some of the costumes is incredible and it is so. much. fun. to just go and check it all out. (I don’t think I’ve ever seen so much fake blood in all my life!)
The photos below are mostly simple snaps as we walked around Wickham Park before the victims set off on the walk to the Valley. I can’t wait to see the creativity at the walk next year if this year is anything to go by.

That fourth from the end shot of the little girl looking up is disturbing, it looks so real.
