Kimberley and Rhys

While Alex jetted off to the US, I held the fort here in Australia with the weddings. The first of these weddings was Kimberley and Rhys.

This wedding was well and truly an indication of how rainy the wet season was going to be. Before their wedding, I had never shot a location shoot at a completely wet wedding… and that’s over ten years of weddings! Sure, I’d had showers and I’d had downpours that passed over, but never a day that just rained and rained. All I can say is that Kimberley and Rhys definitely got us prepared for the weeks to come and the many rainy weddings to follow.

I have to commend Kimberley and Rhys – even when things didn’t go 100% to plan, they were both totally cool, calm and looked smoking hot. They were lucky that they had already planned to visit Restaurant II for part of the shoot to re-create their first date for a few laughs (including the girls ‘spying’ on them through the windows), and the management were amazing and allowed us to shoot a fair amount of the images in there and also wait out the heaviest part of the rain. Two thumbs up for fantastic staff who really helped make Rhys and Kimberley’s day all that much more special.:)

We ventured outside for as long as we could but with the rain bucketing down we made it as brief as possible before heading off to the reception as Hillstone. You have to love a reception that has such an awesome lolly buffet.

Thank you Kimberley and Rhys for having me along to capture your day. You’re absolute troopers.

Truly beautiful images – well done! My absolute fave – where she is entering the church and she’s looking down (veil blowing sideways) and the ones with the girls looking in the window are hilarious :)

The photo of the bride walking into the church – looking over her shoulder with the veil blown back? Divine. I love all of these, but that one resonated with me. =)

TONS of beautiful and genuine images within this set. So much laughter–I LOVE THE BRIDE and her smile is just lovely–and you did a great job capturing her elegance and sweetness. The blowing veil, the laughing bridesmaids, the anticipation, the portraits. The purple trees. Soooooo pretty.

way to get great photos on a rainy day – the one of the bride walking in front of the hotel (with a photo of them behind next to it) is awesome.

Gorgeous! There’s a bit of Robbie William cheekiness to the groom, and the bride looks stunning. Those jacaranda shots really *pop*. Congrats to the happy couple, and to Savvy Studios for such a wonderful shoot … as ever!
