With Alex in the US and me at home with the kids, shooting Erin and Cameron’s wedding became a plan in logistics. What do you do with the kids when you’re heading to shoot for three days? You take them with you! So we packed up the van and headed up the coast. Me, my twin boys Ewan and Angus, their au pair Anne and second shooter Katie endured a relatively event free drive and copious amounts of take-away food. We arrived just in time to make the ferry to Fraser Island and even managed to catch 40 winks while travelling over the choppy water.
Erin and Cameron are one of those couples you can’t help falling in love with. Everyone is happy on their wedding day but I don’t think I can recall a groom who was so obviously excited about the day ahead. Cameron was smiling so much I thought his face was going to unzip. Erin was styled so simply yet elegantly and looked amazing – absolutely perfect for a beach wedding.
However with the non-stop rain that Queensland had, this was ended up as another ceremony that was held indoors. Nonetheless, it was a gorgeous ceremony with a positively glowing bride and groom who more than made up for the gloomy weather. After the ceremony there was enough of a break in the rain to head to the beach and get some photos while the incredible storms moved around us. Even some light rain during the shoot couldn’t stop us.
Pretty soon it was back to Kingfisher Bay Resort to party on. The room looked great, the cakes were incredible and the food was generous and very tasty.
Congratulations Erin and Cameron on your special day and thank you for treating both Katie and I as welcomed guests. It was lovely to share the weekend with you and we wish you well for your future together.
