When you have kids, it’s considered taboo to play favourites; even moreso when you actually tell them. It’s a little bit similar when you’re a photographer. You don’t want to pinpoint favourite clients or weddings because it’s just. so. hard.
however…
On an unexpectedly chilly and windy October day, Alex and I had the opportunity to shoot the wedding of Kate and Daniel. There is so much I want to say about their wedding and the day and all the people they shared it with however I think I’ll run out of time this afternoon and would have to continue writing tomorrow. Although I will make a special mention of Daniel’s mum’s sense of humour (she provided the aprons for the boys to wear while they ate lunch).
Even though it was chilly, the day was absolutley perfect. I think this might just be one of my favourite ‘photographic children’ of 2010… but I didn’t say that.

This is seriously beautiful work; the photo of the bride looking toward the camera through the viel really stuck with me and the photo of her looking down while the wind blows her viel… this set is just… gorgeous!

They’re all good – of course! – but I’m really loving the ones of the groom and his dudes getting ready. It’s awesome to see a really good series of the dudes getting ready!
