Paola and Steve Rock the Caribbean

Please bear with us as this is our biggest blog post ever. How can you possibly cut down four wonderful days in the Caribbean to anything less?

Paola and Steve are a New York couple who chose Curacao in the Netherlands Antilles as the place to tie the knot. You haven’t heard of it either, right? Well we did a fair bit of googling and decided it was a bit of a WOW destination. Imagine a cute Dutch village transplanted to a tropical island and you’re starting to get the idea. It’s quaint and colourful and full of history.

The wedding was celebrated over four days with lots of events planned for guests. Alex was welcomed with open arms (and at the end of the post you will see why you should keep your photographer behind the camera) and got to join in as well as capture lots of fabulous moments. Paola and Steve went to great lengths to ensure that everyone was comfortable and well looked after and that their wedding was as amazing as possible. Furnishings and decor for the reception were even flown in from Miami to ensure it was all just right… and it was. Alex still talks about all the amazing people he met and had the chance to befriend and the magical moment when a guest who was a doctor gave him a shot of antibiotics in the derriere. Ahhh… the memories.

This posts starts with a gorgeous sunset cruise, then moves to the wedding and THE party with some great dancing including some Mr Roboto moves thrown in. Paola and Steve wanted to get in and party with their guests so they had a sunset photo shoot the day after the wedding to capture their first official portraits as husband and wife.

Congratulations Paola and Steve and may there be many happy years ahead for you both and your families.

And now I show you the reason why you shouldn’t let your photographer get away from the cameras. They might just end up on the dance floor…

It doesn’t get much more beautiful than this. That first shot of the hut on the water is breath-taking. Beautiful work.
