I’m very excited to be blogging this wedding for a number of reasons:
A/ It’s in Las Vegas
B/ The bride and groom are super awesome
C/ It’s in Las Vegas!
I got to know Di about 5 years ago. She lives in Sydney and had booked Alex and I for her planned wedding way back then. Fortunately for everyone, that wedding didn’t come to fruition. However it was the beginning of a great friendship as Di (aka Di-zee) and I spent long hours on the phone just chatting to each other about many broad and random subjects. It ended up that Di and I were both internet dating at roughly the same time and Di met Scott online also. Which just goes to prove, you can get EVERYTHING on the internet… including husbands!
My first introduction to Scott was about 3 years ago when he picked us up from the airport to give us a lift to a friend’s house. He had Yoda as the voice of his GPS so pretty much instantly we knew we liked him. It has been a wonderful experience sharing Di and Scott’s journey over the years and we are proud to have them as friends.
When Di and Scott (finally) got engaged, I couldn’t be happier for them. Then Di called me and said they were thinking about eloping. Awesome! Even more exciting was when they decided they wanted us to shoot the wedding. Woohoo! This is where is gets a little sad though… unfortunately for me, they chose Vegas for their wedding. Now Las Vegas is a great place to get married, I highly recommend it. However I don’t fly long distance, so lucky Alex got to fly to the US and shoot their intimate and gorgeous wedding. I was massively slightly jealous but WOW, Alex did such a great job. I’m just loving these images.
So what do Aussies do in 42 degree celcius heat in Las Vegas when they’re dressed up to the nines? They go outside, become the most noticeable tourists in the city and have their photos taken of course! Yes, we’re a crazy bunch but it’s what makes us so unique. The chance of stumbling across a rattle snake as the sun goes down doesn’t even phase us.
Di-zee and Scott, may there be many more amazing years ahead of you both. We love you long time and wish you much joy and happiness in your marriage. xo

LOVE her red wedding dress – made the photos spectacular. Looks like they had the time of their life. Also, the Mickey Mouse wedding veil? Classic.

Alicia, those look wonderful. I love how your style captured a bit of classic Vegas. The classic tuxedos that the guys wore helped a lot too. The bride looks wonderful! I love that they really seemed to get into it. Thank you so much for sharing this. Cheers.

OMG, this is the craziest and exciting wedding I’ve seen. Did they get married by Elvis? Seriously, I always wanted to be married in Vegas by Elvis. And that photo in front of the exotic dancing venue was hilarious!!! And the bride is working it, she’s smoking hot!!!

I’m starting to reconsider that Brisbane wedding location. One tiny change of country can’t upset plans too much, surely?
